The North American Discworld Convention has ended and I must now return to stupid reality.

The past few weeks/months have been very hectic and filled with distractions. Your Guild Leader was hired on as the Staff artist for the NADWCon and as a result has been remarkably busy lately. Between designing T-Shirts, Buttons, Badges, Posters, Flyers, Decorations, and tying balloon animals, there has been very little time to devote to this guild. I want to thank for towing the line extra hard while I was gone, but I am back now, and the guild can start getting back to normal.
To all of you that have sent notes, your requests are now being taken care of, expect to hear from us soon.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! to on winning our contest. As promised, your art will be the feature image on our welcome page for a minimum of one year. We would like to thank all who participated and want to let our guild members know how pleased we were with the turn-out we got.
We have more ideas for contests and other ways of keeping this a fun place to visit, so keep sending in your art, and giving you feedback.

The contest is over and the finalists have been chosen!

We would like to thank all of you who contributed to our first contest of the year. We may have had a rocky start, but it all smoothed out near the end. Your guild leaders have gone through all the entries and have chosen the following three to be voted upon by you, the guild members, to replace the current image on our welcome page.

We have decided to pre-extend the voting deadline by a few days, since this is the middle of the week already. All votes must be in by June15th . The entry with the greatest number of votes by midnight of that day will be announced as the winner. Only votes given by current guild members (as of June 1st) will be accepted.
Voting is done by sending a note with the subject "Vote" and with nothing more than the name of one of the finalisits listed in the note's text. Each Member may only vote once.

That's right... only 4 days until our current contest is oficailly over. There will be no more deadline extentions, you only have until midnight on June 1st to submit your entry.

Contest Rules and Criteria:
Create a new piece of Discworld fan art that encompasses the feel of the Discworld Novels and will make an appropriate image for our guild's welcome page. It can be any visual media you choose, from pencil and paint, to crayon and costumes; as long as its Discworld related, and you think it will look good on our main page. The winning piece will be the feature deviation for the A-Discworld-Guild for at least one year (probably longer).
So if you think you're up to it, and would like your artwork to be the first thing people see when they look at this web page, we would love to see what you have to offer.

(like any normal submission). Only entries made by guild members will be accepted, but new guild members may submit an entry the same day they are accepted as members. Only art that meets the guild's already existing criteria will be accepted, and all submitted art should be newly created for this contest. A set of finalists will be chosen by the guild leaders and made available to be voted on by guild members immediately following the June 1st deadline. Voting will take place over one week, and the entry that has received the most votes by valid guild members (as of June 1st) will be chosen as the winner. The Winning Artwork will immediately be displayed on the main page of A-Discworld-Guild, and will proudly welcome people to the guild for at least one year.
